How Razor Sharp turned a stronger local presence into more booked appointments

Razor Sharp Barbershop website showing its specialities

Razor Sharp is a neighbourhood barbershop competing with chain salons and booking apps. We built it a website with online booking, set up its local search presence and ran social and local ad campaigns.

The challenge

Razor Sharp had loyal regulars and almost no way for new customers to find it. It had no website, an unclaimed Google listing and bookings by phone only, while chain salons nearby took walk-ins with online booking.

What we did

A website that takes bookings

  • Built a fast website with online booking, prices and a profile for each barber.

  • Wrote a page for each service and neighbourhood so the shop shows up in local searches.

Local search

  • Claimed and completed the Google Business Profile, with photos, hours and services.

  • Asked regulars for reviews after each visit with a simple text message.

Social and local ads

  • Ran an Instagram plan of before-and-after cuts and barber spotlights.

  • Targeted Google and Facebook ads at people within two miles of the shop.

A referral offer

  • Gave regulars a discount for every friend who booked, tracked through the booking system.

Results

  • New client bookings rose 30% in the first three months.

  • Bookings from local search grew 50%.

  • Referrals now account for one in five new clients.

What the client said

“We went from being invisible online to being the first shop people find. The booking calendar fills up days ahead now, and half the new faces say they found us on Google.”
